Five Artistic Lives

MCP is pleased to present, with its sister organizations in the Five Centers for Art-the Highpoint Center for Printmaking, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, Northern Clay Center, and the Textile Center of Minnesota-a panel featuring five artists who will discuss their lives and careers as contemporary women and working artists. Multi-media artist Jan Estep will moderate the panel, which includes Dona Schwartz, photographer; Carolyn Swiszcz, printmaker, Jean Matzke, textile artist; Kelly Connole, ceramicist; and Wendy Fernstrum, book artist. The panel discussion will be held at MCP Thursday, March 1, the first day of International Women's Month.

This is my "Telephone Rock," found at Horseneck Beach on a walk with my cousin Joe. I thought it looked like a phone and he took it home and painted the numbers on it. This is back when phones were much larger.
