Lighting Center

My friend Dean once did a photo series about Richfield Bank. They used to have these round buildings as their branch locations all over the twin cities. The bank folded and new businesses moved in. Today most are torn down but this lighting store is one of the last survivors.

A Message from Beyond

Today at the supermarket I saw a display for Bounce Fabric Sheets (top) with a cat that looks a lot like our cat Cleveland (bottom) who died in January.

Sale

The sign in the window says there is a sale on "fancy" polo shirts.

Lent

In case you don't know - I'm sort of Catholic. We're in the season of prayer, fast, and almsgiving. I painted these panels in February; last week (on Ash Wednesday) we put them up at church. Thanks to Patty and Susan, who helped me get this thing up on the pulley system. Isn't it nice how it matches that lady's coat?

Happiness

Wilson and I were trying to organize old photos on the annoying iphoto software yesterday. I had forgotten about this one. I took this when I was on one of the rides at the Minnesota State Fair in 2004. Look at this kid! Click on it and enlarge to see him up close. He will probably never be as happy again as he appears to be in this picture.

Miami

This photo is from the sea bird rehab station just off the JFK Causeway in Miami. I went down last week for some warm weather and inspiration. My friend Michelle graciously put me up AND drove me around.
